from the Wanganui River and the card on the right is
from the Eagle's Nest Geyser. and says, " Well,
had the weather here change a great deal after just

From These
three cards where mailed while the ship was in Sydney.
The card on the left shows a view of a bird's
nest in the gardens of the city. The center card
is a commerative card given to sailors of the fleet
honoring their visit. The card on the right is
titled: "The Drover's Assistants, Series 7 - Sheep
Farming in Australia"

These
two cards are from the a series of cards
issued for the fleet visit called "Victoria
Welcomes the American Fleet". These
two, the Town Hall, Melbourne, and South
African Soldiers' Monument, Ballarat. To

Albany
was not the fleet's favorite port visit. They
were certainly greeted well enough, it was just that
there was nothing there to see or do for site-seeing.
The card on the left provides some of the highlights
of the city, while the card at the right shows one of
the most popular sites to visit, "Dog Rock".

William
Burgess was lucky, he was in the Second Squadron choosen
to visit China while the First Squadron proceeded to
target practice. The card above shows the Memorial
Arch in Amoy.
