The
USS Virginia was part of the Second Squadron which divided
off to Port Angeles under Rear Admiral Emory. They
were then split to send the Third Division, the Louisiana,
Virginia, Ohio and Missouri for a two day visit in Port
Angeles. They then proceeded to Seattle to arrive
on May 23rd to the 26th, to Tacoma, and to Bremerton
to complete repairs to the ship preparing for the long
