This
booklet details the product of the George Washington
Company, a silk embrodery company making flags, pennants,
souvinors, paintings and other items for fleet sailors.
For the Great White Fleet they made special silk
hangings that were framed entitled 'Our trip around
the World'. Below are pages from this book.
|

|
|

|
The Goto Sobey
Silk Store booklet was what Wilburn wrote his list of
items on while visiting Yokohama. It was probably
quite handy with the map included on the inside for
finding your way around Yokohama.

|
The
cards above are Wilbur's collection from Yokohama. They
show the fleet peir and custom house and varied views
around the city. In the upper middle is a card
that was hand drawin and painted. This was most
likely a gift from one of the many school children that
lined the street during the fleet's parade.
