This is an interesting card of the USS Connecticut with a notation of 'Villefranche, France, January 16, 1909, but canceled in Naples on January 9th. On January 9th the Connecticut arrived in Messina and left at once for Naples. She didn't leave till January 20th. |

This was a commerative card issued as a 'Memorial Card' for donation to the relief effort to earthquake victims in Messina. |
